- NEW! Writing Commons is an open-source (=free!) collection of articles on all aspects of academic and technical writing, plus some on creative writing, “new” media (digital writing), and research. An excellent resource.
- Purdue University’s Online Writing Lab (OWL): a great place for native and non-native speakers.
- The TIBBS website at UNC’s School of Medicine (that’s the Training Initiative in Biomedical Science) has a good page of resources, including articles on “the Science of Scientific Writing” and “Guidelines for Writing a Scientific Paper”

- Although it’s not strictly about academic writing, the After Deadline blog on the New York Times website is a terrific read and contains excellent advice for all writers.
